In my youth, those 300ZX where know as “boulevard crusiers” — too heavy and underpowered, especially to the 280zx it replaced.
T-tops are always cool though.

The 280zx (and 300zx) had that rep vs the 240Z. But the 300zx was better in every way (styling aside as that’s subjective) than the 280zx.

I’ve driven a Z31 before....I recall the shift spacing being much smaller than the Matrix but had ridiculously long throws..very underpowered and heavy.
